They took away my favorite tacos. Greta please come back!!! However the nachos are still the best deal in the Hudson Valley. The price went up and it's 16 bucks but seriously those things will feed 4 people. I recommend Tacos Tuesday. For 3 bucks each they are a handful unlike other places that suddenly downsize the taco on Tuesdays. They have been making Ramen. Is it the best Ramen I ever had? No but they are trying to be unique and add a twist and it's working. My only complaint is they close earlier in the winter months.
This was a fun find after a walk across the Hudson River Skyway and down into town. It was an off-season weekday and there weren't a ton of choices, but I am so glad we found this cafe. I had tacos and my wife had a bowl of corn-bacon chowder and both were very, very good. The tacos were nicely spicy without being too hot, and included a generous amount of guacamole and the soup was rich, creamy and full of chunks of potatoes, corn, and bacon. The staff were very friendly and very helpful with our order, and made us feel very welcome. We would definitely eat here again.
Let's talk about this brite vibrant place. Mermaid cafe you got it with your positivity of love & hate has no home here. To delicious homemade chips with hearty salsa. To crispy Tator tots with fresh ingredients. To a perfect salad with such beauty & edible flowers. The cod was fried to perfection and flaky with a great crunch.
A very good restaurants that we stopped at for lunch. Food warrants 5 stars but the place was in the process of being renovated and had a very limited selection of hot drinks. Had their squash special for lunch, which was excellent. Service was good but appeared to be understaffed. Anticipate increasing their rating to a 5 when they complete their renovations.
